Cute Magnolia Girl

Hello, its been a while thats for sure, had the odd couple of health issues, and hopefully Im all go now.  This week I have used a magnolia stamp that is my absolute favourite of all! (well for this week anyway!)  This is a fun card for a friend.

Hello again, hope the weather is fine wherever you are!  We had the sun out today, could even anticipate that spring is just around the corner.  The camelias and Rhodys  are in full bloom at our house which is always a sign of good things to come, spring is my favourite season.  This weeks card is for Sally, who wants to put a gift card inside, so I have made a pocket for that.

I have covered the chip board tag with my famous post card stamp which looks cool.  Well had to fit it in somewhere!

Im especially liking these grunge corner stamps from LOTV, they give a plain background a lift as well as helping with the shabby Chic look.

Well, thats me for this week, Im still painting, the longest painting job in history!  Had a few hiccups but all on again so will be pleased to see the end of it thats for sure.

Ha ha Im churning these out this weekend, heres hoping the mojo holds for a few more days lol!  This image is from Saturated Canary, really cute she has such a nice face and was fun to colour.  Im still managing to keep one eye on the games while colouring, the NZ team have done soooo well, it makes you proud :-)

The postcard is an  image from Crafty Individuals, which I have stamped with a Tim Holtz Distress ink pad/walnut stain.  The inside of the card matches the front, so there we go Ang your card finished well before Monday.  I wont be back again today with any more postings, Im going to do some colouring and keep an eye on the tv.
Forgot to say I coloured this image with my new distress ink markers on a heavy watercolour paper.  Bye for now Cheers Denise :-)

Magnolia Girl 2012 collection

Hello, I have two or three cards ordered so there is going to be a bit of a rush on here in the next week or so!  My first card is for Nic's Mum who has been a star in helping them out when they needed it  Im sure her Mum will be overjoyed with the fact that she hasnt been taken for granted.  Ok on with the card:

I have painted the image with my new Tim Holtz distress markers from Artful crafts and I love them.  Have heard and read lots of different reviews of these, and being a novice I wasnt sure about getting them.  Anyway bit the bullet, and glad I did, they are way better than I thought, plus you can do lots of things with them other than just painting and colouring.  The smaller of  the aqua flowers was coloured with the marker and then just sprayed with mists of water and wow, flower ready to go,  and matches.

The heart has text which I wrote with the aid of the computer, cut them out and chalked the edges.

LOTV stamp

Hello, bit of a hic-cup, fell over last week and broke my fingers, I wont be allowed out on my own soon!  It was semi self inflicted.  I had polished the tiles in the foyer and some how the rug got over onto the polished bit lol!  Ran down stairs jumped on to the mat and it was like surfing in slow motion straight into the umbrella stand and the rest is history!

I have managed to get this card done for Julia who has a friend who is retiring next week and likes flowers.  This is one of the stunning stamps I got from LOTV and is stunning as are all their stamps.  The recipe for this week:
