It sure has been a while! Had a few health issues which have now been resolved so its onwards and upwards for 2013! To kick my year off I have made a calendar. These are nice to give instead of a birthday card, or great for a thank you. For this one I have masked two magnolia stamps to make a little scene, which I have coloured with Tim Holtz distress markers, on heavy water colour paper. The flowers and bling are from W.O.Crafts. The little rabbit has a cotton wool tail:-)!
I downloaded the calendar months from the internet, and was spoilt for choice, there are so many. Thanks for looking :-)
Im entering my calendar into the Southern Girls challenge: Bling! and Tuesday Throwdown #134 Anything goes:-)

Jules
Hello again, hope the weather is fine wherever you are! We had the sun out today, could even anticipate that spring is just around the corner. The camelias and Rhodys are in full bloom at our house which is always a sign of good things to come, spring is my favourite season. This weeks card is for Sally, who wants to put a gift card inside, so I have made a pocket for that.
Recipe:
Saturated Canary Image called Jules
Scalloped edge card from Dies to Die for
DPs from M.M.Eye Indie Chic
Grunge Corner Stamp from LOTV
Flowers W>O>Crafts and Manor House
Chip Board tag
Tim Holtz white picket fence paint
(that is on every thing)!
Lace from Stash
Seam Binding from W.O. crafts
I have covered the chip board tag with my famous post card stamp which looks cool. Well had to fit it in somewhere!
Im especially liking these grunge corner stamps from LOTV, they give a plain background a lift as well as helping with the shabby Chic look.
A close up of the tag and the hair of this cool image!
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, Hugs Denise

Magnolia Girl 2012 collection
Hello, I have two or three cards ordered so there is going to be a bit of a rush on here in the next week or so! My first card is for Nic's Mum who has been a star in helping them out when they needed it Im sure her Mum will be overjoyed with the fact that she hasnt been taken for granted. Ok on with the card:
Recipe
American crafts black cardstock
Basil pacific blue cardstock
Nit Wit DP papers
Dies, magnolia heart and
Spellbinders circle, memory box large flourish
Heavy cotton white handmade lace
Spiral flowers memory box and cherry lynn
Martha Stewart lace RTP punch
Flowers: Aqua roses Kaisercraft, cherry blossoms from W.O. crafts
pearl pin made by me :-)!
I have painted the image with my new Tim Holtz distress markers from Artful crafts and I love them. Have heard and read lots of different reviews of these, and being a novice I wasnt sure about getting them. Anyway bit the bullet, and glad I did, they are way better than I thought, plus you can do lots of things with them other than just painting and colouring. The smaller of the aqua flowers was coloured with the marker and then just sprayed with mists of water and wow, flower ready to go, and matches.
The heart has text which I wrote with the aid of the computer, cut them out and chalked the edges.
Challenges for this week:

Wild Orchid Crafts challenge 55 Round in circles.
The Paper Shelter challenge 75 glitz and glamour
